Top of bookcase19 viewsRouted trim, hides some gaps and adds beauty to the project. The plan is to have this done and in the new Pole Barn room in time for Leighanne and Levi to enjoy using it. Should be done well before then. (1 votes)

Pine bookcase--just needs staining19 viewsAnd the final product. All it lacks is a layer of stain + polyurethane. It looks better than I thought it would mid-project. (2 votes)

Outdoor kitchen-sink and side burner + griddle40 viewsThe sink module, plus the side burner. Very nice is the griddle, which will make pancakes and other items possible while using the main BBQ area for other things. (2 votes)

Brochure of outdoor kitchen33 viewsThis will go under the covered porch in the back of the house. Very sweet arrangement, which I planned to build on my own. To part out the cost would have been close to the total purchase from Costco. Not to mention the time saved. Woohoo! (2 votes)

Rupert Visits Again15 viewsRupert is an old visitor to the LaPine house, and you'll never know when he will show up! This time he appears to have had a few too many and is out cold on the love seat. (2 votes)

Large trailer-a house all by itself23 viewsWayne and I finished this earlier this summer. The awning will be overdone with natural wood accents and will blend in with our "outdoor theme" we go for at the LaPine property. It's a nice trailer, with all the amenities of the house except a smaller shower stall. (1 votes)

Almost done17 viewsJust need to add the bottom trim (note the routed edge on the two short pieces still to add), add the back, sand and then finish. It's looking pretty good. The lesson learned is adding trim and rail/stiles helps not only provide stability to the frame but helps hide gap-osis. And I can visualize *every* gap you won't be able to see (and some you will unfortunately). Aesthetically it is shaping to be my nicest project. (1 votes)

My first step after cuts...trying out using wood dowels for joinery15 viewsEvery project I have done this year I've implemented a new technique or two to build up skills. This usually means I have a few mistakes as I learn as I go. But I do see progress on the repetitive skills, so that's a good thing I guess. In the photo you can see the holes I drilled. The technique used is wood dowels for joining (butt joinery in this case...I didn't pick the name!!) 2 pieces of wood. I tried it rather than sticking with normal screws. Drill, fill w/glue, dowel expands and dries. Presto! (1 votes)
